Minera Mine Discoveries
Darren has been investigating various caving sites in the North Wales area for what seems ages. Many members will have accompanied him on numerous occasions and some have from time to time been persuaded to look at some hole or other.
In recent months he has been exploring Minera Mine and helped by others has replaced the crumbling "cap" (consisting of rotting corrugated sheets resting on rotten timbers supporting loads of earth,rocks etc). On his latest visit, accompanied by Neil he made not one but two discoveries. He found a new entrance to Minera (that inevitably needs capping!) AND a way into the elusive Ogof Llyn ddu. There is a club trip there in December- don't miss it.
