Water Icicle.
In the next week or so we hope to complete the work on Owlet Hole then move onto Water Icicle. There have been several reports of "bad air" (CO2?). The plan is to locate (with Nigels' help) then open up a new entrance which should lie in the nearbye copse.
Radon.
For some time Ade has been assisting a student at Manchester Uni on a radon project. Results should be published soon.
Tim is working on a similar project. Radon monitors have been placed (and recovered) from a number of sites (the one in Carlswark got nicked depsite being labelled up with its reason for being there). Further monitors weere placed this week in P8 and Jug Holes. Incidentally the "loose" block that Brummie Steve reported (Jug Holes), the one that no one could find, was found by Dave Carlisle (Mines inspector) and rendered safe. Steve K Ken H and Ralph helped (or maybe hindered) this inspection.
Dave C inspected Suicide Cave the following day -in his opinion the entrance boulder choke is a death trap. Ralph was busy filming in Speedwell and Steve was escorting a visitor around the same system so they were unable to assist/hinder.
